Biography

Daniel Harris III, a talented trumpeter from Stockton, and is known for his dynamic work as an artist, composer, arranger, performer, bandleader, educator and community activist. Daniel is also a producer, recording artist, and the founder of KnowMedium, an independent record label and company promoting various mediums of multi-disciplinary art and hosting community-oriented concerts and jam sessions cultivating a greater love and appreciation for the Arts.

Daniel began his professional music career at the age of fifteen, sharing stages with the likes of Terrace Martin, Stevie Wonder, and Isaiah Collier and the Chosen Few. His talent and work have earned him several awards, such as the Woody Herman Jazz Award as well as being the first recipient of The California Alliance for Jazz; Black Lives Matter Scholarship

 

Daniel has also performed at many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, UCLA Jazz/Reggae Festival, the Mendocino Music Festival, and L.A. LIVE at the Marriott.

As a recent graduate of The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, Daniel also leads The Daniel Harris Quintet and his most recent venture; PUREHUMANE.
